John Palmiero is an independent adviser in GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance), IRM (Integrated Risk Management) Financial Technology and Trading software. He is an accomplished Chief Operating and Chief Revenue Officer with 30 years global expertise in sales, marketing, field service operations. He has extensive board level experience with a number of companies and Private Equity firms.

• January 2016 - May 2020

John a joined Palo Alto based GRC leader, MetricStream in a part time advisory role. John helped rebuild the EMEA operation into the company’s fastest growing region.

• January 2014 to mid 2015

John ran Global Field Operations for Openlink Financial the leading provider of Energy and Commodity trading software, a Hellman and Friedman Company.

• 2012 to 2014

John was Global Head of Sales for Misys the leading provider of financial services software, a Vista company.

• 2010 to 2012

John ran the EMEA Trade and Risk Management business from Zurich Switzerland for Thomson Reuters and was part of the management team that sold it to Vista Private Equity.

• 2005 to 2010

John ran the Asia Pacific Thomson Reuters Trade and Risk Management business based in Hong Kong, and - 1997 to 2005 he built various businesses in APAC for Misys PLC based in Hong Kong.

• John started his career in the early 1980's based in Europe and has since worked all over the world. He is now living in the United Kingdom and runs the Search & Advisory business at Hiremetrix where he provides advisory services to PE firms and their operating companies which is supported by his recruitment team.
